Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 Beta Release: News, Dates, Announcement & Information For Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 on PS4, PC and Xbox One

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta is live. Players now have the opportunity to play Modern Warfare 2019 before it’s released next month and give the developers some much needed feedback to ensure the game is as polished as possible. 

The Modern Warfare 2019 Gunfight Open Alpha was made available to PS4 users recently and was reviewed by the community. We’ve also compiled everything you need to know about the weapons, perks, killstreaks and game modes. In addition, we are eager to see more regarding Gunsmithing and how that will affect gameplay going forward.

When Does The Modern Warfare Beta Release?

At the global Multiplayer reveal, September 12th is the official date for the first beta for Modern Warfare. The dates for the beta are as follows:

PS4 Early Access (pre-order players only): 12th-13th September 

PS4 Open Beta: 13th-14th September

PC, Xbox One pre-order beta, PS4 open beta: 19th-20th September

PC, Xbox One, PS4 open beta: 21st-23rd September

What Will Be Included In The Modern Warfare Beta?

We heard plenty of cool things that we can expect from the new game including the Modern Warfare 2019 weapons, perks, maps, game modes and killstreaks.There has still been no news surrounding Modern Warfare 2019 battle royale.

Recently, it was confirmed that Ground War will be available in the beta - this is the new and improved game mode that features 100 vs 100 player action. As it stands, it will only be 64 vs 64 for the beta.

So far 4 Modern Warfare 2019 game modes have been included: Team Deathmatch, Domination, Headquarters and Cyber Attack. Alongside this, 4 Modern Warfare 2019 maps have been added: Azhir Cave, Hackney Yard, Grazna Raid and Gun Runner.

How Do We Access The Modern Warfare Beta?

Retail Pre-Order Players

Accessing Your Beta Code: Check the email of the address that’s attached to your Call of Duty account.If you don’t see this email in your inbox, check your SPAM/Junk folder.If you find the Beta Codes email in either of these folders, make sure you mark these emails as “Not Spam” so you can continue to receive important messages from Call of Duty. Head to the callofduty.com/redeem and login with your COD account.If you don’t find the email in either place, or your beta code on the redemption site reach out to Player Support.

Downloading the Beta (PS4): Once you’ve received your Beta Code, go to the PlayStation® Store. Select ‘Redeem Codes’. Enter your Beta Code and the download will begin!

Downloading the Beta (Xbox One): Once you’ve received your Beta Code, go to the Microsoft Store.Select ‘Use a Code’.Enter your Beta Code and the download will begin!

Downloading the Beta (PC Dark Edition: Battle.net)

Once you’ve received your Beta Code, log in to Battle.net. Visit ‘Account Settings’. Select the ‘Games & Codes’ tab then ‘Code Redemption’. Enter your Beta Code and the download will begin!

Digital Pre-Order Players

Beta Code is Not Needed: If you pre-ordered Modern Warfare digitally, you are automatically ready to download the Beta. Look for instructions regarding preloading availability, and then visit your platform’s store:

Downloading the Beta (PS4): Go to the PlayStation® Store, search for Modern Warfare, follow the prompts and install the Beta.

Downloading the Beta (Xbox One): Go to the Microsoft Store, look for Modern Warfare, following the prompts to download the Beta, and you’re set!
